Poppies, it’s time for episode 34, back in English this time. We proudly present our latest guest Julia Eyre, @whitelion, who is not only a performance coach specialized in soccer but also a sports psychologist. Pretty obvious for us as hosts: it’s a match!
🧠🍿
"Soccer players seem to be more injured compared to other athletes.” Bold thesis as a starter - but Julia turned into a rant, implying that soccer just doesn’t seem to be learning from its mistakes. Great reasoning from somebody who definitely has skin in the game!
🧠🍿
On the physical part of this episode, we talked about buy-in with athletes, tried to define 'good training' and Julia shared her idea of minimum effective dose and it’s importance.
🧠 🍿
For the mental part, Julia gave us insights on usual factors that seem to be limiting athletes performance and where this could be coming from. Also we looked for ways on how to address these issues and what can be done to improve.
🧠🍿
A fun episode with many bold statements and potential brainpops for you. So we are left to say: Enjoy your brainpops!
